Victoria Falls
Experience the Majesty of Victoria Falls
Bridging the border of Zambia and Zimbabwe, Victoria Falls is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. During the height of the rains, its mighty waters plummet 108 meters (354 feet) into a deep gorge, creating a jaw-dropping, phenomenal display of mist and thunderous sound that can be heard from miles away.
The Falls offer a dynamic experience that shifts with the seasons. December to April brings heavy rains that make the Zambezi River swell, causing the Falls to roar with power. As September to November sets in, water levels drop, revealing the rugged beauty of the gorge’s rocky face.
Guided visits to the Zambian side of the Falls are available year-round. Adventurers can enjoy white-water rafting, bungee jumping, bridge swinging, and lunch on Livingstone Island – located right on the edge of the Falls. Please note that some activities are dependent on water levels and may not be available year-round; for more details, feel free to contact us
For the local Tonga people, Victoria Falls – known as Mosi-oa-Tunya, or “the Smoke that Thunders” – holds deep spiritual significance. They revere the Falls as the dwelling place of the river god who is believed to protect the surrounding land and its inhabitants.
Victoria Falls is much more than a global monument; it’s a journey that flows with the seasons. Every turn offers a chance to connect with nature, wildlife, and the stories of the people who call this land home.
